It is a translation to which is attached a sworn statement signed by the certified translator or the translation service provider affirming that the translator is competent in both the source language and the target language, and that to the best of their knowledge it is a complete and accurate translation.

All our translations, unless instructed otherwise, are certified and notarized. We have been in business for over 30 years, and our translated documents are accepted by USCIS for immigration purposes, US government agencies, major corporations and organizations, Immigration Law firms, as well as educational institutions.

No, unlike most translation houses, we do not charge extra to certify and notarize our translations. Some companies, however, not only charge more than their advertised prices of $25 to $30 per page, they also charge separately for certification and notarization. Melga Translation Services has no hidden fees.

This is a function of the source language, the level of its complexity and the length of the document. Most basic translations, such as a birth certificate or a diploma in Spanish, French, Dutch, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese, or Arabic, can be completed within two (2) business days. We also offer express service for an additional fee. Feel free to email us the document for an estimated turnaround time. We reply quickly to emails.

We pride ourselves in knowing that our established clientele of attorneys, companies, and the public at large appreciate the quality of our work, the content and presentation of our translated documents. We invite you to read some of the 5-star reviews we received over the years. Our excellent reviews do not come to us as a surprise, as we only hire professional linguists to ensure accuracy. Projects assigned to a particular linguist are reviewed by a member of our editing staff, then submitted to a Project manager familiar with the applicable field of knowledge for final review of content and format.

It is an international stamp attached to your original document to verify it is legitimate and authentic so that it is accepted by a member country of the Hague Convention. Check with your country or its embassy where you reside to inquire as to whether or not you need an apostille. If you do need one, we can guide you with obtaining one

It depends on the size and the level of complexity of the document. For a short one-page document we may charge, let’s say, $35 for a certain language pair, whereas the same document in a different language and with some formatting, could cost you $65. We normally charge per word for long documents of a narrative nature. The cost per word varies from 10 cents to 14 cents based on the level of complexity of the document. As we translate in-house, we are able to charge our clients less than a competitor of the same caliber. It is always a good idea to email the document to us for a quote

We normally translate a basic birth certificate, or marriage or death certificate of one (1) page from Spanish to English for an average price of $45 (certified and notarized), with a 5% volume discount if you bring four (4) documents or more.

Yes, we do and have been doing so for over 30 years. Other than birth certificates and other vital documents, we have translated transcripts (“releve de notes”) and high-school diplomas (baccalaureat, Rheto, philo). The average price is normally $45 per document, but could be as low as $40 for 4 documents or more. You can ask to speak with a French or creole-speaking representative if you so desire.

We are quite familiar with all civil documents from the Dominican Republic, namely “Extrato de o Acta Inextensa de Nacimiento, de Matrimonio, de Defuncion”, as well as Diplomas and Transcripts from institutions such as UTESA, Pontificia, Universidad Catolica de Santo Domingo, etc. The average price is normally $45 per document, but could be as low as $40 for 4 documents or more. We complete translations within 2 business days. Express service is available for an additional fee. Hablamos espanol.

No. A legible scanned document emailed to us is enough for a quote. You don’t even need to make a trip to our office. You can pay for the translation with a credit card over the phone or through Paypal. We can email the translation to you, and mail out the original to you if so requested
